May Move In:
The official move in date was May 12th. We realize some of you don't plan to move in until later in the summer, however, your 1st rent installment payment was due by May 12th. You will also need to transfer the electric and gas bills into a tenants name (regardless of whether you're actually living there).
Utilities:
All applicable utilities must be in the tenants name for the entire lease period. Board of Water & Light is the electric company, their number is (517)702-6006. Consumers Energy is the gas company, their number is (800)477-5050. The City of East Lansing is the water/sewage provider, however, you do not need to contact them, we put the bill in your name for you. The water bill will be sent to your property every 3 months.
Security Deposit:
Whether you are a May or August tenant, prior to move out we would like you to email us a forwarding address for where you'd like the deposit refund sent. Keep in mind, we only mail 1 check, so discuss this with your roommates and determine who that person will be. Checks, along with an itemized list of damages, are mailed within 30 days from the end of your lease.
